Roger J Gagnon
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Roger Jospeh Hector Gagnon on February 29, 2024 at the Dalhousie Villa Renaissance at the age of 77.
Roger was born in Bathurst on July 29, 1946 to his loving parents Hector and Sylvia (LaPointe) Gagnon.
Sadly, predeceased by his only child, daughter Nicole and his brothers Johnny, Terry, and Alvin.
Roger was a hard worker his entire life, was always there for his family and friends or anyone who may have needed a helping hand.
Roger worked many different lines of work over the years, but his love was always carpentry work, in his shed woodworking, loving the outdoors right up until dementia stole his way of life. Even then always hard a contagious smile that lit up a room.
He will be sadly missed by his soulmate and love of his life of 54 years , his wife Diane (Faulds) Gagnon. In addition, he is survived by his brother Romeo Gagnon, his sisters Carmella Noel, Marcella Gagnon - LaPointe and Susan Gamble (David). Brother in law - Albert Faulds (Sharon), sisters in law- Christine Faulds, Paula Chater (Bill), and Ann Marie Faulds (Lloyd) as well as many nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews whom loved him dearly.
He will be missed and remembered always.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the nurses and staff that cared for Roger through is struggle with his illness at Dalhousie Villa Renaissance.
A graveside memorial service will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
